Gigabyte’s GA-E350N-USB3 of SAPPHIRE Technology

This is the first AMD Fusion’s accelerated processing unit which is codenamed “Bobcat”.  This is conceived by SAPPHIRE Technology, the world’s largest manufacturer and supplier of graphics systems based on technology from AMD. Introducing the Gigabyte’s GA-E350N-USB3 board integrates the E-350 APU onto the actual PCB itself. This is because there is simply no socket option available from AMD.

It is a mini-ITX motherboard. Its board has the traditional blue brushed style although the heatsink is deep silver. This device passively cools the board, but many users don’t understand that passive fins still need space to form a convection cycle in order to cool correctly. Unlike other models, the heatsink is screwed down properly, without push-pins. The motherboard’s layout is generally neat, but the SATA ports might be quite difficult to access from behind the PCI-E slot. It also has a Gigabit Ethernet connection, and 7.1 surround sound with an S/PDIF output making it a great choice for a home theatre system.

It has a 1.6GHz AMD E-350 APU with 18W that combines HD and Vision Technology enabling vivid videos but maintains lower power usage. The chipset use is ‘Hudson’ M1 southbridge with sub 5W and 65nm process. It has AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics core that contains 80 stream processors but doesn’t support stereoscopic 3D graphics.

It has 3-phase CPU power that generates less heat that guarantees a long life for the board. It also features a 16-slot PCI-E four of which are electrical. This unifies input and output structure for your component. It also has two single channel DDR3 1.333MHz slots. It has higher bandwidth and clock rates, a 90mm fabrication process that saves power and an 8 bit pre-fetch buffer to increase performance.

Its input/output ports include four SATA 6Gbps, comes with two NEC USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0. Four of its USB 3.0 are all located on its rear and two as pin-outs. It also has a port for HDMI 1.3d, dual link DVI that supports dual digital outputs.

Its driver audio installations are Realtek RTL8111E Gigabit Ethernet and Realtek ALC8927.1 channel surround sound with S/PDIF output. It has a Dual-BIOS interface firmware. This motherboard will make your computer works faster, efficient and consumes less power.
