Huawei made an announcement in respect of US market Model related to IDEOS X5, which is middle range Android smartphone. The device is using the same formula as of IDEOS (Original), alternatively known as Comet for T-Mobile and the objective is making available excellent product with competitive pricing range.

The specifications of the phone are already known the attempt is to learn more information from user’s point of view. The phone is superb in elegance accompanied by sturdy built up equipped with 3.8-inch capacitive display function covered by glass in front. There is 1500mAh battery located at back with cover of soft-touch plastics; the entire phone mechanism is enclosed in 11.4 mm thin body.
As far as the hardware is concerned it is 8000MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 CPU having pairing with Adreno 205 GPU having 512MB RAM. The radio present in it is a Tri-band HSPA+ having capacity to support AWS (900 / 1700 / 2100MHz). The phone house a second microphone located at the back of phone enabling noise cancellation function, besides SRS to induce audio enhancement function. There is FM radio also.
The phone is equipped with 5 mega-pixel camera, having features of auto focus and just single LED flash. The phone is supporting 720p HD video recording. It has a microSD card slot besides its in-built 4GB of storage capacity. There is Video output capability also. As far as the software is concerned, the IDEOS X5 operates on Android 2.2 featuring Flash 10.1, Swype and Hotspot functions capability.
Though the phone is not designed for breaking any of speed records, still it is adequately fast having score of 1470 during the Quadrant test. Huawei has not disclosed the price structure and carrier partnerships. The information regarding T-Mobile seems shall in all likelihood apply i.e. AWS on board. The availability is expected before mid-2011.
